One word of complaint, however: I'm tired of greyscale/black and white pictures. Ok, I get it, they're moody, emotional, enrapturing, whatever. Some of them really are. But I think far too many people try to make up for a mediocre picture by converting it to black and white and saying they were having some kind of emotional epiphany at the time that could only be expressed in shades of grey. Or maybe they realize their picture is pretty bland, so they decide to go off the deep end and take any flavor out of it that it ever had to begin with in hopes that the viewer might, in his own imagination, add his own colors and make the image what he wants it to be, or what it should have been. That way everyone is a little disappointed but can't complain too much since they're all given free will to fill in the gaps in their own imaginations that the artist left. And when there isn't much happening in a picture, there isn't much inspiration, but there are a lot of gaps, and being grey doesn't help matters.
So, with that said, please leave the greyscale to Calvin Klein and use it only when it will actually improve a picture. Otherwise, color is much more interesting, realistic, and eye-catching. It's your friend. Don't be afraid of it.
